BIOGRAPHY

Nicole Mary Kidman professionally known as Nicole Kidman made her debut as an actor in the film Bush Christmas (1983). It was in 1989 she gained wider recognition as an actor with the movie Dead Calm which gave her stardom. There was no turning back after that and Nicole Kidman at present is considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the AACTA Australian Film Academy awards for Best Lead Actress in a Miniseries for Vietnam which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Kidmans career so far are Far and Away (1992), Batman Forever (1995), To Die For (1995), Eyes Wide Shut (1999), Moulin Rouge! (2001), The Others (2001), The Hours (2002), Rabbit Hole (2010), Paddington (2014), Lion (2016), Destroyer (2018), Aquaman (2018), and Bombshell (2019) to name a few. Kidman, daughter of Janelle Ann and Antony Kidman was born on 20 June 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii. She attended Lane Cove Public School and North Sydney Girls High School. She attended the Australian Theatre for Young People took up drama and mime. She was appointed Companion of the Order of Australia in 2006.
