Rahul, a popular male name in India, has a variety of meanings. The earliest meaning found in the Upanishads is conqueror of all miseries. Rahul is also Arabic for traveler. Buddhas son was also called Rahul, meaning relation. Another meaning of Rahul is offspring of lightning.
