BIOGRAPHY

Rowan Sebastian Atkinson professionally known as Rowan Atkinson made his debut as an actor in Canned Laughter (1979). It was in 1994 he gained wider recognition as an actor with the film Four Weddings and a Funeral. There was no turning back after that and Atkinson at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the BAFTA TV Award for Best Light Entertainment Performance for Not the Nine OClock News which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Atkinsons career so far are Never Say Never Again (1983), Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Bean (1997), Love Actually (2003), Mr. Beans Holiday (2007), and Johnny English film series to name a few. Atkinson son of Eric Atkinson and Ella May was born on 6 January 1955, in Consett, County Durham, England. He attended Durham Choristers School, a preparatory school, and at St Bees School. He then pursued his Bachelorss degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Newcastle University. He then pursued his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from The Queens College, Oxford.
