BIOGRAPHY

Edward Thomas Hardy professionally known as Tom Hardy made his debut as an actor in Black Hawk Down (2001). It was in 2002 he gained world-wide recognition as an actor with the film Star Trek: Nemesis. There was no turning back after that and Hardy at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the British Independent Film Award for Best Actor for Bronson which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Hardys career so far are Black Hawk Down (2001), Star Trek: Nemesis (2002), RocknRolla (2008), Bronson (2008), Warrior (2011), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), Lawless (2012), Locke (2013), The Drop (2014), The Revenant (2015), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Inception (2010), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Dunkirk (2017) and Venom (2018) to name a few. Edward Thomas Hardy, son of artist and painter Anne and novelist and comedy writer Edward Hardy, was born on 15 September 1977 in Hammersmith, London. He attended Tower House School, Reeds School, and Duff Miller Sixth Form College. He then studied at Richmond Drama School and the Drama Centre London. In 2018 he was appointed as the Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to drama.
