BIOGRAPHY

Thomas Geoffrey Wilkinson professionally known as Tom Wilkinson made his debut as an actor in Smuga cienia (1976). It was in 1994 he gained world-wide recognition as an actor with the series Martin Chuzzlewit. There was no turning back after that and Wilkinson at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the British Academy Award for Best Actor for Martin Chuzzlewit which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Wilkinsons career so far are Paper Mask (1990), Sense and Sensibility (1995), The Ghost and the Darkness (1996), Rush Hour (1998), In the Bedroom (2001), Another Life (2001), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), Batman Begins (2005), The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005), Michael Clayton (2007), RocknRolla (2008), The Conspirator (2011), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Snowden (2016), and The Happy Prince (2018) to name a few. Wilkinson son of Marjorie and Thomas Wilkinson was born on 5 February 1948, in Wharfedale, West Riding of Yorkshire. He graduated from the University of Kent at Canterbury and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
