Uday (also transliterated as Odai, Oday, Ouday, or Udai, from original Sanskrit name उदय; Udaya, عدي; Udai, udɑj ood-eye) is an Indian name meaning dawn or the rise and a probably unrelated Arabic name (a male given name meaning to rise, to ascend or the first warrior in the Battle).
