Daggubati Venkatesh professionally known as Venkatesh made his debut as an actor in the film Kaliyuga Pandavulu (1986). It was in 1990 he got wide recognition as an actor with the movie Bobbili Raja. There was no turning back after that and Venkatesh at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Nandi Awards for Best Male Debut (Special Jury Award) for Kaliyuga Pandavulu which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Venkateshs career so far are Chanti (1992), Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu (1996), Preminchukundam Raa (1997), Suryavamsam (1998), Raja (1999), Kalisundam Raa (2000), Jayam Manadera (2000), Sankranti (2005), and Drushyam (2014). Venkatesh son of film producer and former Member of Parliament, D. Ramanaidu and Rajeshwari was born on 13 December 1960 in Andhra Pradesh, India. He did his schooling in Don Bosco, Egmore, Chennai, and graduated in commerce from Loyola College, Chennai. He got his MBA from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, USA.
