Vidya Balan fondly known as Vidhi made her debut as a lead actor in the film Bhalo Theko (2003). She got the major hit of her career with the movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai which gave her stardom. There was no turning back after that and Vidya at present is considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the Anandalok Awards Award for Best Actress for Bhalo Theko which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Vidyas career so far are Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Paa (2009), Ishqiya (2010), The Dirty Picture (2011), No One Killed Jessica and Kahaani (2012), Tumhari Sulu (2017), and Mission Mangal (2019) to name a few. Vidya daughter of P. R. Balan and Saraswathy Balan was born on 1 January 1979 in Bombay. She completed her schooling at St. Anthony Girls High School in Mumbai. She then pursued her bachelors degree in Sociology from St. Xaviers College and went on to pursue her Masters degree from the University of Mumbai. In 2014, she was honored by the Government of India with the Padma Shri.
