Vijay Sethupathi is an Indian movie actor, popular for his original style, unique creativity and natural acting. Born in Rajapalayam in Virudhunagar district, he moved to the city of Chennai to complete his education. He graduated with a B.Com degree, following which he worked for three years as an accountant in Dubai, UAE. Unhappy, frustrated and dissatisfied with his job, he returned to India in 2003. In a moment of magical synchronicity, a photographerâs casual remark that he had a 'very photogenic face', motivated him to pursue an acting career. Initially, he began working as a background actor and played minor supporting roles for over five years, before getting his major break as the lead actor in Seenu Ramasamy's Thenmerku Paruvakaatru (2010). He went on to star in Pizza (2012), Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom (2012), and Soodhu Kavvum (2013), which earned critical acclaim as well as commercial success, metamorphosing Vijay Sethupathi into a popular name in Tamil cinema. The years of struggle have molded his acting talent and given him the humility required to handle great success.
