1971: Beyond Borders is a 2017 Malayalam-language Action War motion picture written by Major Ravi and Shiju Nambyath. The movie is directed by Major Ravi and produced by Andrew Johnson under the banner of Red Rose Creations. The film, set in two time periods, is based on the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and act as both prequel and follow-up to the series. 1971: beyond borders features Arunoday Singh, Allu Sirish, Mohanlal Nair, Nithin Renji Panicker, Sudheer Karamana, Asha Sarath and Zoya Zayed. The music was composed by Siddharth Vipin along with Najim Arshad, Rahul Subramanian and Gopi Sunder. Cinematography was done by Sujith Vaassudev and editing by Samjith MHD. The film has a running time of 130 minutes. It was released on 6th April 2017. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Red Rose Release; Singapore: Singapore Coliseum.
