200 Pounds Beauty is a 2006 Korean-language Comedy Drama motion picture written and directed by Kim Yong-hwa and produced by Park Mu-seung, Won Dong-yeon and Bang Chu-sung under the banner of REALies Pictures in collaboration with KM Culture. It is based on the Japanese manga by Yumiko Suzuki about an overweight ghost singer who undergoes intensive plastic surgery to become a pop sensation. 200 pounds beauty features Kim Ah-joong in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Joo Jin-mo, Sung Dong-il, Kim Hyun-sook, Im Hyun-sik, Lee Han-wi and Jin-mo Ju. The motion picture is based on Kanna-san Daiseikou Desu! by Yumiko Suzuki. The music was composed by Lee Jae-hak. Cinematography was done by Park Hyun-cheol and editing by Park Gok-ji and Jeong Jin-hee. The motion picture has a running time of 120 minutes. It was released on 19th April 2007. The Film was successful at box office. 200 Pounds Beauty was made on a budget of ₹40 lakh and it was a super hit at box office gross of $42 million.
