A Gentle Creature is a 2017 Russian-language Drama Mystery motion picture written and directed by Sergei Loznitsa and produced by Marianne Slot under the banner of Slot Machine in collaboration with Arte France Cin ma, Graniet Film BV, LOOKSfilm, Solar Media Entertainment, Studio Uljana Kim and Wild at Art. A woman lives in a small village in Russia. One day she receives the parcel she sent to her husband, serving a sentence in prison. Confused and angered, she sets out to find why her package was returned to sender. A gentle creature features Vasilina Makovtseva in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Valeriu Andriuta, Sergei Kolesov, Dmitry Bykovsky, Valeriu Andriutã, Liya Akhedzhakova and Roza Khayrullina. Cinematography was done by Oleg Mutu and editing by Danielius Kokanauskis. The movie has a running time of 143 minutes. It was released on 16th August 2017.
