Aaj Ke Shahenshah is a 1988 Hindi-language Action Adventure motion picture written by Inder Raj Anand, Jaya Bhaduri, Santosh Saroj, Anjaan, Mohammed Aziz, Indivar, Shubha Joshi, Shabbir Kumar, Bappi Lahiri, Udit Narayan, Anuradha Paudwal, Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. The movie is directed by Shibu Mitra and Tinnu Anand and produced by Tinnu Anand, Bitu Anand and Naresh Malhotra under the banner of Shiva Video. Vijay who is a corrupt officer by day, turns a vigilante by night in order to make the city crime free. Aaj ke shahenshah features Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Meenakshi Seshadri, Amrish Puri, Jeetendra Kapoor, Rohini Hattangadi, Raj Babbar and Supriya Pathak. The screenplay is written by Santosh Saroj. The music was composed by Amar Biswas along with Utpal Biswas. Cinematography was done by Peter Pereira and editing by A. Habib. The motion picture has a running time of 175 minutes. It was released on 12th February 1988. The Film was successful at box office.
