Aarilirindhu Aruvathu Varai is a 1979 Tamil-language Biography Drama movie written by Panchu Arunachalam and directed by S. P. Muthuraman and produced by Meena Panchu Arunachalam under the banner of P. A. Arts Productions. Aarilirunthu Aruvathu varai, Revolves around Santhanam(Rajnikanth) who solely runs his poor family of 2 brothers and a sister, after their parents death, by taking them to higher level in the society. However, he gets rejected by them, after they get a modern lifestyle. How Santhanam, runs his life and gets back his greedy Siblings forms the Crux of the story in this Coming of age film. Aarilirindhu aruvathu varai stars Rajinikanth in the lead role along with Sangeetha, Jaya, Jayalakshmi, Cho Ramaswamy, Thengai Srinivasan, Surulirajan and 'fatafat' Vijayalakshmi in supporting roles. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by Babu and editing by R. Vittal, and T. K. Rajan. The motion picture has a running time of 138 minutes.
