Amara Prema is a 1978 Telugu-language Drama Family movie written by N. Shankaran Nair and directed by Rama Rao Tatineni and N. Shankaran Nair and produced by R. M. Sundaram under the banner of RMS Pictures. Amara prema features Kamal Haasan in the title role along with Zarina Wahab, Jayan, Thikkurisi Sukumaran Nair and Savitri Kommareddy in supporting roles. The music was composed by Salil Chowdhury. Cinematography was done by J. Williams and editing by Babu. It was released on 24th June 1978. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Vijaya Movies.
