Amman Kovil Vaasalile is a 1996 Tamil-language Drama movie written by Raja Subramaniyam and directed by Ramarajan and produced by S. Rajaram under the banner of Mahalakshmi International. Ponrasu, an honest man, is at loggerheads with Sethupathi, an evil man. Impressed by his good nature, Pongothai falls for Ponrasu, but things take an ugly turn when Sethupathi wants to marry her. Amman kovil vaasalile stars Senthil in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Santhana Bharathi, Gandhimathi, Kullamani, S Manivannan Rajagopal, Sangita Madhavan Nair and Rajasree. The screenplay is written by Raja Subramaniyam. The music was composed by Sirpy. Cinematography was done by Raveendar and editing by L. Kesavan. It was released on 7th March 1996. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Mahalakshmi International.
