The movie is directed by Lone Scherfig and produced by Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey under the banner of BBC Films in collaboration with Finola Dwyer Productions, Mittal Productions, Wildgaze Films and Endgame Entertainment. A coming-of-age story about a teenage girl in 1960s suburban London, and how her life changes with the arrival of a playboy nearly twice her age. An education features Peter Sarsgaard, Alfred Molina, Rosamund Pike, Dominic Cooper, Olivia Williams, Emma Thompson and Leonard Maltin.
