Anarkali is a 1955 Telugu-language Drama Romance movie written by Samudrala Sr and directed by Vedantam Raghavaiah and produced by P. Adinarayana Rao and Anjali Devi under the banner of Anjali Pictures. Salim, the son of the emperor Akbar loves Anarkali. But Akbar refuses to accept their relationship. So misunderstandings arises between Akbar and Salim. Anarkali stars Anjali Devi, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, S.v. Ranga Rao, Kannamba, Chittor V. Nagaiah, Surabhi Balasaraswati and Peketi Sivaram. The screenplay is written by Vedantam Raghavaiah. The music was composed by P. Adinarayana Rao. Cinematography was done by Kamal Ghosh and editing by N. S. Prakasam.
