The film revolves around a government police secret agent official , who is sent to the Northeast region of India to bring a peace deal between the government and the separatist groups in the North East, who also want to break away from India. Anek features Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Andrea Kevich Sa, J.d. Chakravarthy, Andrea Kevichusa and Shovon Jaman. The screenplay is written by Anubhav Sinha, Sima Agarwal and Yash Keswani. The music was composed by Anurag Saikia along with Mangesh Dhakde. Cinematography was done by Ewan Mulligan and editing by Yasha Ramchandani. The film has a running time of 147 minutes. It was released on 27th May 2022.
