Animal House is a 1978 English-language Comedy motion picture written by Harold Ramis, Douglas Kenney and Chris Miller. The movie is directed by John Landis and produced by Matty Simmons and Ivan Reitman. At a 1962 college, Dean Vernon Wormer is determined to expel the entire Delta Tau Chi Fraternity, but those trouble-makers have other plans for him. Animal house features John Belushi in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Tim Matheson, John Vernon, Verna Bloom, Thomas Hulce, Donald Sutherland and Tom Hulce. The music was composed by Elmer Bernstein. Cinematography was done by Charles Correll and editing by George Folsey Jr. The motion picture has a running time of 109 minutes. It was released on 28th July 1978 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Animal House was made on a budget of $3 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $141 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Universal Pictures.
