Anthahpuram is a 1998 Telugu-language Action Drama motion picture written by Krishna Vamsi and Akkella. The movie is directed by Krishna Vamsi and produced by P. Kiran under the banner of Anandi Art Creations. Inspired from 1991 American film Not Without My Daughter , the plot revolves around a newly-married NRI woman finding herself in a traditionally feudal family in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. Anthahpuram features Jagapathi Babu in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Prakash Raj, Sai Kumar, Saradha, Soundarya Raghu, Sharada Devi and Jagapati Babu. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by S. K. A. Bhupathi and editing by Shankar. The film has a running time of 137 minutes. It was released on 16th May 1998. At the 1999 South Filmfare Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Actress (Soundarya Raghu) and Best Film. At the 1999 National Film Awards It also won an award for Special Mention (Actor).
