Asuran is a 2019 Tamil-language Action Drama film written by A. Venkatesh and directed by Vetrimaaran and produced by Kalaippuli S. Thanu under the banner of V Creations. The teenage son of a farmer from an underprivileged caste kills a rich, upper caste landlord. Will the farmer, a loving father and a pacifist by heart, be able to save his hot-blooded son is the rest of the story. Asuran stars Dhanush in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Manju Warrier, Ken Karunas, Teejay Arunasalam, Ammu Abirami, Balaji Shaktivel and Prakash Raj. The screenplay is written by Vetrimaaran and Manimaran which is inspired from Vekkai by Poomani. The music was composed by Gv Prakash Kumar along with G. V. Prakash Kumar.
