Ayogya a Tamil movie written and directed by Venkat Mohan stars Vishal, Raashi Khanna, R.Parthiban and K.S.Ravikumar. It was a remake of the 2015 Telugu movie known as Temper. The story which was developed by Vakkantham Vamsi follows the life of a fraudulent police officer who is reformed when he investigates a gang rape case. The movie was produced by B.Madhu under the banner of his company Light House Movie Makers. It was distributed by Screen Scene Media Entertainment. Clear cut editing by A. Sreekar Prasad and adept cinematography by V. I. Karthik makes it a watchable movie. The songs were composed by Sam C.S except for one song Vera level which was done by S. Thaman. This song was a remake of the “ Blockbuster” song from the Telugu movie and Lahari music acquired the song rights. The songs were written by Vivek. Filming began on August 23, 2018, in ECR, Chennai. The movie was made with a budget of INR 15 crores approximately received a positive response from critics and Vishal’s performance in the movie was appreciated. It has a run time of 146 minutes. The Poster which was released on November 19, 2018, created a controversy, PMK leader Ramadoss was displeased with the poster as it portrayed Vishal holding a beer bottle in his hand. The film was slated to release in January 2019 was delayed and was released on May 10. In order to obtain 12A classification in the UK, the distributors cut the violent scenes.
