Azaad is a 1978 Hindi-language Action Comedy motion picture written by Sachin Bhowmick, Gulshan Nanda and Ehsan Rizvi. The movie is directed by Pramod Chakravorty and produced by Pramod Chakravorty. This is the story of a eccentric young man, Ashok (Dharmendra) who believes in doing good without worrying about the consequences.. Azaad features Dharmendra in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Hema Malini, Prem Chopra, Keshto Mukherjee, Sulochana Latkar, Randhir and Jankidas Mehra. The music was composed by Rahul Dev Burman. Cinematography was done by V.K. Murthy and editing by Narendra Arora. It was released on 28th June 1978. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Pramod Films.
