Bad Company is a 1972 English-language Adventure Drama film written by David Newman and Robert Benton. The movie is directed by Robert Benton and produced by Stanley R. Jaffe. A god-fearing Ohio boy dodging the Civil War draft arrives in Jefferson City where he joins up with a hardscrabble group of like runaways heading west. Bad company stars Barry Brown in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Jeff Bridges, Jim Davis, David Huddleston, John Savage, Jerry Houser and Damon Douglas. The music was composed by Harvey Schmidt. Cinematography was done by Gordon Willis and editing by Ron Kalish and Ralph Rosenblum. The motion picture has a running time of 93 minutes. It was released on 8th October 1972 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Bad Company was made on a budget of $70 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Paramount Pictures.
