The story, set in Mumbai, revolves around a heist of cricket betting money, executed by a gang of four thieves, who are joined by a fifth unknown man, and its aftermath. Baduku jataka bandi features Ajith Kumar, Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Lakshmi Rai, Anjali, Andrea Jeremiah and Dingri Nagaraj. The music was composed by V. Manohar along with Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography was done by Sakthi Saravanan and editing by Praveen K. L. and N. B. Srikanth. The motion picture has a running time of 160 minutes. It was released on 3rd February 1997.
