Bala is a 2002 Tamil-language Drama Action motion picture written by Deepak and Viji. The movie is directed by Deepak and produced by Rajaa Baalu and Raju Magalingam under the banner of Goldmine Pictures. Bala stars Shaam in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Meera Jasmine, Rajan P. Dev, Aruna Guhan, R Mayilsamy, Jai Ganesh and Raghuvaran. The music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography was done by Priyan and editing by V. T. Vijayan. It was released on 13th December 2002. The Film was successful at box office. Bala was made on a budget of ₹32 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹110 crore.
