Bala is a 2019 Hindi-language Comedy Romance film written by Niren Bhatt, Ravi Muppa and Pavel Bhattacharjee. The movie is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films in collaboration with Jio Studios. Bala revolves around the protagonist Balmukund Shukla, a young man living in Kanpur who is suffering from male pattern baldness, and the story is about his lack of confidence and societal pressure that comes with premature balding. Bala features Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Bhumi Pednekar, Yami Gautam, Javed Jaffrey, Saurabh Shukla, Seema Bhargava and Sachin Chaudhary.
