Bandslam is a 2009 English-language Comedy Drama motion picture written by Josh A. Cagan and Todd Graff. The movie is directed by Todd Graff and produced by Elaine Goldsmith-thomas under the banner of Summit Entertainment in collaboration with Walden Media and Goldsmith-Thomas Productions. A new kid in town assembles a fledgling rock band -- together, they achieve their dreams and compete against the best in the biggest event of the year, a battle of the bands. Bandslam stars Aly Michalka, Vanessa Hudgens, Gaelan Connell, Scott Porter, Lisa Kudrow, Ryan Donowho and J.e. Meris. The screenplay is written by Josh A. Cagan and Todd Graff.
