Barbie: Mermaidia is a 2006 English-language Animation Adventure movie written by Elise Allen and directed by Walter P. Martishius and William Lau and produced by Luke Carroll under the banner of Mainframe Entertainment in collaboration with Mattel Entertainment. In this animated follow-up to Fairytopia, Elina (played by Barbie) enlists the help of a mermaid, Nori, to save her friend Nalu, a merman prince who has been captured by the wicked Laverna. Barbie: mermaidia stars Kelly Sheridan, Chiara Zanni, Kathleen Barr, Lee Tockar, Alessandro Juliani, Christopher Gaze and Raphael Wagner. The music was composed by Eric Colvin. Editing was done by Michael Dowding. The movie has a running time of 85 minutes. It was released on 14th March 2006. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
