Bareilly Ki Barfi is a story about a small-town girl Bitti who gets fascinated by the author of a book Bareilly Ki Barfi and yearns to meet him. The events that follow form the basis of a story. The screenplay was written by Nitesh Tiwari and Shreyas Jain. The film was produced by Vineet Jain and Reenu Ravi Chopra and directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. This 2017 rom-com stars Kriti Sanon, Kumar Jyoti Prakash, and Rajkummar Rao. Rajkummar Rao was appreciated by Amitabh Bachchan for his brilliant acting. He gave his appreciation by writing a letter to Rao. As a part of the preparation for her role, Kriti Sanon learned to smoke.
