BASEketball is a 1998 English-language Comedy Sport film written by David Zucker, Robert Locash, Lewis Friedman and Jeff Wright. The movie is directed by David Zucker and produced by David Zucker, Robert Locash and Gil Netter under the banner of Universal Pictures. Two childhood friends are pro athletes of a national sport called BASEketball, a hybrid of baseball and basketball, and must deal with a greedy businessman scheming against their team. Baseketball features Trey Parker, Matt Stone, Yasmine Bleeth, Jenny Mccarthy, Robert Vaughn, Ernest Borgnine and Rick Solis. The music was composed by James Ira Newborn. Cinematography was done by Steven Mason and editing by Jeffrey Reiner. The film has a running time of 103 minutes. It was released on 31st July 1998. BASEketball was made on a budget of $23 million and at the box office it grossed only $7 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Universal Pictures.
