Beauty and the Beast is a 1987 English-language Family Fantasy motion picture written by Carole Lucia Satrina, Gabrielle-suzanne Barbot De Villeneuve and Jeanne-marie Leprince De Beaumont. The movie is directed by Eugene Marner and produced by Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan under the banner of Golan-Globus Productions. To save her father, a girl who always puts others before herself promises to live her life in a lavish castle with a strange beast. Beauty and the beast stars John Savage in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Rebecca De Mornay, Yossi Graber, Michael Schneider, Carmela Marner, Ruth Harlap and Joseph Bee.
