Bells of San Angelo is a 1947 English-language Western film written by Paul Gangelin and Sloan Nibley. The movie is directed by William Witney and produced by Edward J. White under the banner of Republic Pictures. Gridley is mining silver from an old Mexican mine and bringing it into the USA thru a passage into his worthless mine. Border guard Rogers suspects Gridley and finally finds the secret entrance to the Mexican mine. He sends Lee Madison for help only to have her captured by Gridley. Trigger brings help that takes care of Gridley's men and now Roy has to rescue Madison. Written by Maurice VanAuken. Bells of san angelo stars Roy Rogers, Trigger, Dale Evans, Andy Devine, John Mcguire, Olaf Hytten and Luana Walters. The music was composed by Charles Maxwell. Cinematography was done by Jack A. Marta and editing by Lester Orlebeck. The movie has a running time of 78-54 minutes. It was released on 15th April 1947. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Republic Pictures.
