Boy Friend is a 1961 Hindi-language Drama Romance motion picture written by Shivaji Rathore and directed by Naresh Saigal and produced by Naresh Saigal and K. Dutta. A young lad, separated at a young age from his parents takes on the life of petty crime and ends up in jail.. Boy friend features Shammi Kapoor in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Madhubala, Dharmendra, Nishi Kohli, Dhumal, Master Maruti and Mahendra. The music was composed by Shankar Jaikishan. Cinematography was done by Krishan Saigal and editing by Pran Mehra. It was released on 7th July 1961.
