British Intelligence is a 1940 English-language Romance Thriller film written by Anthony Paul Kelly and Lee Katz. The movie is directed by Terry O. Morse and produced by Bryan Foy under the banner of Warner Bros. During WWI pretty German master spy Helene von Lorbeer is sent undercover to London to live with the family of a high-placed British official where she is to rendezvous with the butler Valdar, also a spy, and help him transmit secret war plans back to Germany. Written by Doug Sederberg. British intelligence stars Boris Karloff in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Margaret Lindsay, Bruce Lester, Leonard Mudie, Holmes Herbert, Austin Fairman and William Bailey. The music was composed by H. Roemheld. Cinematography was done by Sid Hickox and editing by Thomas Pratt. The motion picture has a running time of 60 min. It was released on 29th January 1940. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Warner Bros.
