Calvary is a 2014 English-language Drama film written and directed by John Michael Mcdonagh and produced by Chris Clark, Flora Fernandez-marengo and James Flynn. After he is threatened during a confession, a good-natured priest must battle the dark forces closing in around him. Calvary stars Brendan Gleeson in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Chris O'dowd, Kelly Reilly, Aidan Gillen, Dylan Moran, Isaach De Bankol and M. Emmet Walsh. The music was composed by Patrick Cassidy. Cinematography was done by Larry Smith and editing by Chris Gill. The motion picture has a running time of 101 minutes. It was released on 11th April 2014 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The motion picture made a box office gross of $16 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Momentum Pictures. At the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival It won an award for Panorama.
