Cars Toons is a 2006 English-language Animation Comedy series written by John Lasseter, Joe Ranft, Jorgen Klubien, Dan Fogelman, Kiel Murray, Phil Lorin and Steve Purcell. The series is directed by John Lasseter and Joe Ranft and produced by Darla K. Anderson under the banner of Walt Disney Pictures in collaboration with Pixar Animation Studios. A hot-shot race-car named Lightning McQueen gets waylaid in Radiator Springs, where he finds the true meaning of friendship and family. Cars toons stars Owen Wilson in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, Larry The Cable Guy, Cheech Marin, Tony Shalhoub and Guido Quaroni. The screenplay is written by Dan Fogelman, John Lasseter, Joe Ranft, Kiel Murray, Phil Lorin and Jorgen Klubien. The music was composed by Randy Newman. Cinematography was done by Jeremy Lasky and Jean Claude Kalache and editing by Ken Schretzmann. The series has a running time of 117 minutes for each episode. It was released on 8th June 2006.
