Celluloid is a 2013 Malayalam-language Biography Drama motion picture written by Vinu Abraham, Kamal and Ubaid. The movie is directed by Kamal and produced by Kamal and Ubaid under the banner of Prime Time Cinema. The story of J C Daniel, who made the first ever Malayalam film 'Vigathakumaran' in 1928, resulting in his exile and eventual downfall. Celluloid stars Sreenivasan, Mamta Mohandas, Nedumudi Venu, Chandni, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Chandini and Shafeer Sait. The film is based on Life of J. C. Daniel by Chelangatt Gopalakrishnan Nashta Naayika by Vinu Abraham. The music was composed by M. Jayachandran. Cinematography was done by Venu and editing by K. Rajagopal. The motion picture has a running time of 129 minutes. It was released on 15th February 2013. The movie made a box office gross of ₹16 crore.
