Chakkalathi is a 1980 tamil-language Musical film directed by Devaraj Mohan and Devaraj-mohan and produced by S. Nachammal under the banner of Subburaja Combines. Chakkalathi stars Sudhakar, Shoba, Ambika, Vijayan and Y. Vijaya. The screenplay is written by Alagapuri Alagappan. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Cinematography was done by R. N. K. Prasath and editing by M. Vellaisamy and M. Kesavan. The film has a running time of 107 Minutes. It was released on 1st January 1980. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Sedhu Sundaram.
