Chamku is a 2008 Hindi-language Action Crime movie written by Monty Sharma and Kabeer Kaushik. The movie is directed by Kabeer Kaushik and produced by Dharmendra under the banner of Vijayta Films. A traumatized child becomes a Naxalite, and upon being captured must agree to become a police-assassin. Chamku features Bobby Deol in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Priyanka Chopra, Irrfan Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Danny Denzongpa, Akhilendra Mishra and Deepal Shaw. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Monty Sharma. Cinematography was done by Gopal Shah and editing by Sanjay Sankla. It was released on 29th August 2008. Chamku was made on a budget of ₹10 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹1 crore. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Zee Motion Pictures.
