Chanakyan is a 1989 Malayalam-language Thriller Action movie written by Sab John and directed by T. K. Rajeev Kumar and produced by Navodaya Appachan under the banner of Navodaya Studio. A man seeks the help of a mimicry artist to take revenge on a politician who has wronged him. Chanakyan features Kamal Haasan in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Urmila Matondkar, Thilakan, Madhu, Jayaram Subramaniam, Sabitha Anand and Arfaz Ayub. The music was composed by Mohan Sithara. Cinematography was done by Saroj Padi and editing by V. N. Raghupathi. It was released on 1st September 1989.
