Chandni is a 1989 Hindi-language Drama Musical motion picture written by Kamna Chandra, Umesh Kalbagh, Arun Kaul and Sagar Sarhadi. The movie is directed by Yash Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra, Aditya Chopra, Bharat S Shah and T. Subbarami Reddy under the banner of Yash Raj Films. Fate leaves Chandni shattered as her love Rohit disappears from her life. She meets Lalit and they befriend each other until Rohit knocks on her door. Chandni features Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Waheeda Rehman, Sridevi Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Sushma Seth and Juhi Chawla. The music was composed by Hariprasad Chaurasia along with Shiv Kumar Sharma and Shiv-hari. Cinematography was done by Manmohan Singh and editing by Keshav Naidu. The motion picture has a running time of 187 minutes. It was released on 14th September 1989. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹26 crore.
