Chowki is a 2020 Kannada-language Drama film written by A. P. Arjun, Simple Suni, A. V. Chinthan, Anil Kumar and Yoganand Muddan. The movie is directed by Tharun Kishore Sudhir and produced by Yogish Dwarakish Bungale under the banner of Dwarakish Chitra in collaboration with United Spirits. This film revolves around folk based art that is yakshagana, yakshagana Artist and their psychology. Chowki stars Prem Kumar in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Vijay Raghavendra, Diganth, Prajwal Devaraj, Aindrita Ray, Priyamani and Bhavana. The screenplay is written by Tharun Kishore Sudhir. The music was composed by Gurukiran along with Arjun Janya, V. Harikrishna, Anoop Seelin and Sridhar V. Sambhram. Cinematography was done by Satya Hegde, S. Krishna, Santhosh Rai Pathaje, Shekar Chandru and Sudhakar Raj and editing by K. M. Prakash. The film has a running time of 178 minutes. It was released on 1st December 2020. The Film was successful at box office. Chowki was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹20 crore. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Mysore Talkies.
