Coffeemate is a 2016 Korean-language Drama Romance film written and directed by Yi Hyun-ha and produced by Kang Sung-wook and Ryu Hee-jung under the banner of Sunny Entertainment Co. Ltd. In-young, a 32-year-old housewife, discovers a café that she finds comfortable to be in on her own, and becomes a regular. At the café, she meets Hee-su, a 39-year-old carpenter, who also comes on his own. Hee-su suggests In-young that they becomes 'coffeemates,' friends who meet only at that café. They don't meet outside, no phone calls or texting either. Through a relationship that started out like a joke, the café becomes subjective time and place for them, separating them from reality, and Hee-su and In-young discover what they really wanted. Coffeemate stars Yoon Jin-seo in the lead role along with Oh Ji-ho, Ji-ho Oh and Jin-seo Yoon in supporting roles. Cinematography was done by Kim Hak-bae. The motion picture has a running time of 111 minutes. It was released on 1st March 2017. The film made a box office gross of $0 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Storm Pictures.
