Color of Night is a 1994 English-language Mystery Romance film written by Matthew Chapman and Billy Ray. The movie is directed by Richard Rush and produced by David Matalon, Buzz Feitshans and Andrew G. Vajna under the banner of Hollywood Pictures in collaboration with Cinergi Pictures. Psychologist Bill Capa gives up his practise when he unintentionally pushes a patient to commit suicide. In an effort to come to terms with this tragedy he visits an old colleague, Bob Moore, who is subsequently murdered. The quest to catch the killer centres around a group of Moore's psychologically disturbed patients, however equally as important is an affair which develops between Capa and the mysterious Rose. Written by Drew McCormack. Color of night features Bruce Willis, Jane March, Ruben Blades, Lesley Ann Warren, Brad Dourif, Lance Henriksen and Rachel Wagner. The screenplay is written by Billy Ray and Matthew Chapman. The music was composed by Dominic Frontiere. Cinematography was done by Dietrich Lohmann and editing by Jack Hofstra and Thom Noble. The film has a running time of 121-139 minutes. It was released on 19th August 1994. Color of Night was made on a budget of $40 million and at the box office it grossed only $19 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Buena Vista Pictures.
