Coming Home is a 2014 Mandarin-language Drama Romance motion picture directed by Yimou Zhang and Zhang Yimou and produced by William Kong and Zhao Zhang under the banner of Le Vision Pictures. Lu Yanshi (Chen Daoming) and Feng Wanyu (Gong Li) are a devoted couple forced to separate when Lu is arrested and sent to a labor camp as a political prisoner, just as his wife is injured in an accident. Released during the last days of the Cultural Revolution, he finally returns home only to find that his beloved wife has amnesia and remembers little of her past. Unable to recognize Lu, she patiently waits for her husband's return. A stranger alone in the heart of his broken family, Lu Yanshi determines to resurrect their past together and reawaken his wife's memory. Written by Anonymous. The screenplay is written by Zou Jingzhi which is inspired from The Criminal Lu Yanshi by Geling Yan. The music was composed by Qigang Chen. Cinematography was done by Xiaoding Zhao. The movie has a running time of 111 minutes. It was released on 29th May 2014. The movie made a box office gross of $49 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Edko Films.
