Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is a 2002 English-language Biography Comedy motion picture written by Chuck Barris and Charlie Kaufman. The movie is directed by George Clooney and produced by Andrew Lazar under the banner of Mad Chance. An adaptation of the cult memoir of game show impresario Chuck Barris, in which he purports to have been a CIA hitman. Confessions of a dangerous mind stars Drew Barrymore, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Sam Rockwell, Rutger Hauer, Dick Clark and Nigel Scantlebury. The screenplay is written by Charlie Kaufman which is inspired from Confessions of a Dangerous Mind by Chuck Barris. The music was composed by Alex Wurman. Cinematography was done by Newton Thomas Sigel and editing by Stephen Mirrione. The film has a running time of 113 minutes. It was released on 24th January 2003. Confessions of a Dangerous Mind was made on a budget of $30 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $33 million. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Miramax. At the 2003 Berlin International Film Festival It won an award for Best Actor (Sam Rockwell).
