Cop Land is a 1997 English-language Crime Drama movie written and directed by James Mangold and produced by Cathy Konrad, Ezra Swerdlow and Cary Woods under the banner of Woods Entertainment. The sheriff of a suburban New Jersey community populated by New York City police officers slowly discovers the town is a front for mob connections and corruption. Cop land stars Sylvester Stallone in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Peter Berg, Janeane Garofalo and Robert Patrick. The music was composed by Howard Shore. Cinematography was done by Eric Alan Edwards and editing by Craig McKay. The motion picture has a running time of 105 minutes. It was released on 15th August 1997. The Film was successful at box office. Cop Land was made on a budget of $15 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $44 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Miramax Films.
