Countdown is a 2011 English-language Action Drama film written and directed by Huh Jong-ho and produced by Oh Jung-wan and Jo Kwang-hee. Debt collector Tae Gun-ho, who lost his son five years ago, finds out he has liver cancer. The only way for him to survive is to get a liver transplant in the next 10 days from a woman named Cha Ha-yeon, who apparently has the matching organ. Cha turns out to be a seductive swindler who currently lives in jail, and Tae decides to meet her in person in hopes of saving his own life. Cha agrees to donate part of her liver only if Tae tracks down Cho Myeong-seok, who put her in prison. Written by anonymous. Countdown features Jeon Do-yeon in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Jung Jae-young, Jae-yeong Jeong, Do-yeon Jeon, Ji-woong Wi, Yun-beom Bae and Dae-byeong Jeon. The music was composed by Dalpalan. Cinematography was done by Kim Tae-kyung. The movie has a running time of 119 minutes. It was released on 29th September 2011. Countdown was made on a budget of $6 million and at the box office it grossed only $3 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Sidus FNH.
